Residential Opportunities, Incorporated (ROI) is beginning a search for a full-time, exempt status Chief Executive Officer position responsible for leading the effective and efficient operation of the agency’s functions with respect to contractual and legal obligations as well as working with the Board of Directors. ROI is a CARF accredited non-profit organization employing over 400 staff and serving over 400 adults, children, and adolescents with disabilities through the operation of residential programs for adults, services specialized for the treatment of autism, as well as programs in supported living, low-income housing, and representative payee services.
Responsibilities include: making organizational, operational, and programmatic decisions within the context and boundaries of policies and ROI’s Strategic Plan as set forth by ROI’s Board of Directors; directing and evaluating the work of the COO, CFO, Director of Development, and Director of Properties; assisting the Board of Directors with obtaining all information needed to properly discharge Board functions; working directly with Board Committees as assigned by the Board of Directors; initiating and directing the development and updating of organizational policies and procedures; and ensuring ROI’s commitment to being an anti-racist organization.
Qualifications for the position include: Master’s Degree in a Human Service field and 5 years experience working with individuals with disabilities, at least 2 of which are in administration (OR equivalent experience and qualifications as approved by the Board of Directors); leadership experience in an organization with greater than 100 employees and/or annual budget of at least $10,000,000; demonstrated excellence in communication, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and problem-solving skills; and ability to work as an effective team member.
