Joseph Academy is a state approved, non-profit, non-public special education school founded in 1983 with campuses in Des Plaines and Melrose Park, Illinois. Joseph Academy is seeking a new Executive Director to oversee a $3 million + budget, supervise the faculty of 30-50 employees, report to ISBE and local school districts, comply with state, local and federal laws and, most importantly, set a standard of quality and compassion for children served by the school.
Required Qualification: ISBE Type 75 Administrative Certificate. Desirable Qualifications: Masters, Doctorate, or other graduate degree/certification in special education; ISBE certification as a social worker or psychologist.
The successful candidate should have substantial experience in public and non-public special education therapeutic programs.
