Founded in 1951, the International School of Brussels (ISB) is an independent, non-profit school offering international education for students from age 3 to 18. With more than 1500 students from 70 countries, the ISB learning experience is driven by a Mission of inclusion, challenge, and success.
ISB has designed a coherent international curriculum, and a model learning support programme, to d...evelop independent learners and international citizens. The language of instruction is English, with an extensive English-as-a-Second-Language programme. Other optional languages include French, Dutch, Spanish and Japanese. High School prepares students for the International Baccalaureate Diploma, the ISB Academic and General High School Diplomas and the ISB Individualized Diploma for students graduating from the school’s special education programme. Ninety-five percent of ISB graduates continue on to higher education in colleges and universities around the world. The school also has the largest competitive athletics programme in Europe as well as extensive programmes in the visual and performing arts.
ISB is deeply committed to environmental education and partners with a number of major organizations in developing environmental policy. Additionally, the school is highly committed to learning through technology and innovation, with all students from Grade 3 provided with tablet PC’s as well as access to world-class design and science labs.
